Broaching 

Broaches are used for producing keyways;  cutouts with squared features on the internal section of parts. Broaches can cut square, hexagonal or custom designs. A broach  has teeth that increase in size along it's shaft. 

 

At Anoesis we use Vertical Broach machines equipped with custom broaches to quickly produce keyed cutouts  through the internals of bicycle parts.
